Therapy animals can be a vital part of treatment.  They can provide an additional sense of comfort, safety and ease when dealing with difficulty material.  In my practice, you have the option to include my therapy dog, Zuzu, in your sessions.  If you are not comfortable with the presence of a dog, it will in no way affect our work together.  Zuzu will simply not attend  during your time in the office.

"To be fully seen by somebody, then, and be loved anyhow - this is a human offering that can border on miraculous" - Elizabeth Gilbert

I do not discriminate against any individual on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.

I have been in private practice in Murfreesboro for over 20 years. Prior to that, I worked in various agencies for over 10 years.

I use an integration of approaches in my practice. Which approach is used is determined by the goals you set for yourself in therapy and by the feedback you give me about my effectiveness along the way. I regularly ask if you are improving and what I can do better.

I use Emotionally Focused, Developmental, Crucible, Imago and Gottman approaches when working with couples.

I bring warmth and gentleness to the process of therapy while telling the truth about what is needed for change.
